MUSING provides innovative knowledge management solutions and services to support the execution of business intelligence (BI) activities, directly at the end-user premises.

Our systems exploit sophisticated ICT techniques to enable, process-wise and content-wise, effective and efficient business intelligence activities, such as:

 - Semantically-supported, multilingual data and text mining

 - Automatic information extraction from multiple (external and internal,  
   structured and non structured, textual and non textual) data sources

 - Machine-assisted reasoning on pre-filtered information

 - Detection and mitigation of operational risks (OpR)

 - Financial assessment and self-assessment of enterprises.

The MUSING paradigm is realised through progressive delivery to the market of BI solutions that are based on semantic technologies and that can be acquired via web-services, thereby opening to immediate usage by enterprises of all sizes – viz. SMEs and micro-businesses, as well as large enterprises – and the Public Administration.

MUSING’s methodologies are natively multi-industry, anyhow the industrial domains that are currently addressed (i.e., ontologically defined and based on MUSING proprietary information as well as on web-distributed data sources) are:

Services rendered in the aforementioned disciplines range from support to financial analyses (external credit merit assessment, BI support to Basel II-compliant rating systems, automatic population of XBRL taxonomies from financial prospects), to knowledge provisioning for internationalisation of enterprises (partner search, reputation analyses), to specialised advisory on operational risk issues (self-assessment and scenario development).
